Singin' in the rain

From Avalon Roberts: "As we were discussing code-switching in the homework assignments, I was reminded of this movie. I think that code-switching is something that everyone does to varying degrees regardless of race or occupation. This is a clip from the play-turned-into-movie "Singin' In the Rain." A silent film actress is trying to transition to being a star in movies with sound. The producer is making her go to diction lessons to try to change her way of speaking to match her demeanor.
